The book was a childrens'/young adult's fiction. It was futuristic (obviously), and the girls parents were scientists. She felt like she didn't fit with her family because her little sister was a science fan too. There was something about her sharing fresh baked cookies with her grandmother and reflecting on how her mother hated warm cookies. There were moving sidewalks and weird exercise bikes that showed whatever scene you want to be in. And I think she had just gotten the attention of a boy she liked.

Haha I'm not sure why i remember these weird things.
